Position Summary
The Mary Bridge Behavioral Health Navigator-SW is a trainee designated position for individuals who are in the process (LSWAIC) of obtaining clinical licensure (LICSW). All job duties and accountabilities outlined in this job description will be supervised by a Mary Bridge Mental Health Clinician â Social Work II or III. The incumbent is responsible for the mental health assessment of emergency department patients and safety planning with patient and family as well as creating outpatient plans and securing appointments prior to discharge or within 48 hours. Active case management of all aspects of behavioral health needs and services provided for 90 days post-discharge. Intent of position is to reduce emergency department utilization for behavioral health needs.
As part of an interdisciplinary team, and to promote optimal health outcomes, the Behavioral Health Navigator-SW provides support and resources to identify and intervene regarding patient/family needs related to: mental health, trauma, environmental and caregiver safety; child abuse and neglect; trauma; grief and loss; adjustment to injury/illness; food, shelter and other basic needs; education and developmental needs, and parenting resource needs. The Behavioral Health Navigator-SW joins with patients and their families in identifying solutions to problems that serve barriers as to behavioral health management. The Behavioral Health Navigator-SW partners with physicians, schools, law enforcement, Childrenâs Administration, community mental health providers and other service providers in the community to ensure well-coordinated care across the behavioral health care continuum.
Requirements
- Masterâs Degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Licensed in the state of Washington Licensed Social Worker Associate & Independent Clinical (LSWAIC)
- Health care industry knowledge preferred
- Behavioral health experience/knowledge preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $70,325.00 - $102,128.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicantâs years of experience align.
