THERE's been lots of love lost this year among celebrity couples with many famous faces announcing their divorces.
And on the day Mariah Carey has reportedly been dumped by her billionaire businessman fiancé James Packer, we look back on celebrity marriages that have turned sour and come to an end this year.
October
Who are they? Director Len Wiseman and actress Kate Beckinsale

How did they meet and when did they marry? They met in 2003 on the set of the horror film Underworld, which Len co-created and directed and were married the following year.
How much are they worth? Kate has an estimated fortune of £13 million while his is reportedly around £12 million.
Wiseman announced yesterday he had filed for divorce from the British actress after twelve years of marriage. The couple, both 43, went public with their split last November, rumoured to have been triggered by the pair’s gruelling filmingschedules, which kept them apart for long periods of time.
The couple did not have any children although Kate is mother to 17-year-old daughter Lily from her eight-year relationship with actor Michael Sheen.
Neither Kate nor Len are seeking spousal support in the divorce. He is now reportedly dating 25-year-old model/actress, CJ Franco.

Who are they? Pop star Cheryl and businessman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini
How did they meet and when did they marry? They met at the Cannes Film Festival in April 2014 at JB’s pop-up restaurant Cosy Box, six weeks later he moved into her house and three months later they were married on the Caribbean island of Mustique.
How much are they worth? Cheryl’s fortune is estimated at £20million, but his bank balance isn’t known.
Cheryl was granted ‘Britain’sfastest ever quickie’ divorce last week after her 18-month marriage to the French restaurateur was dissolved in just 14 seconds.
Less than a year after they married, rumours of problems began to arise and they separated at the end of last year. The pair didn’t have any children and no pre-nuptial agreement was signed but they agreed the separation terms and Cheryl will keep her fortune while Jean-Bernard will walk away from the marriage with nothing.
She is now dating One Direction star Liam Payne with whom she is rumoured to be expecting a child with.

Who are they? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie

How did they meet and when did they marry? The actors met on the set of Mr and Mrs Smith in 2004 while he was still married to Jennifer Aniston. Speculation soon became rife that he and Angelina started an affair on set, although she denied it at the time. But they became an official item not long after he divorced Aniston the following year and admitted he “fell in love” with Jolie on the set of the movie. They were married in 2014.
How much are they worth? She has an estimated £130 million fortune, while he has a net worth of almost £200 million. They have an iron-clad pre-nuptial but she will not be seeking spousal support and they have assets including a property empire with homes in Los Angeles, France, Spain and the UK.
Angelina, 41, filed for divorce from Pitt, twelve years after they met and two years after they were married. They and have six children – three adopted and three biological – whom Angelina wants full custody of.
Angelina cited irreconcilable differences in her divorce petition but rumours soon started circulating that it was over Brad’s alleged affair with French actress Marion Cotillard, partying with hookers and drug and alcohol abuse and their different methods of raising their children. But then it emerged that her decision to leave and divorce him came from “one shocking incident” that took place, reportedly on a plane the week before when he is believed to have physically abusive towards the children. This week it was revealed that the LA County’s Department of Children and Family Servicesprobe into the incident has been extended to include verbal abuse.
Who are they? Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber

How did they meet and when did they marry? The actors met in 2005 at the star-studded annual Met Gala. The pair never married but have two sons, Alexander, nine, and seven-year-old Samuel.
How much are they worth? Both are estimated to have a fortune of £13 million each. They also own properties in Los Angeles and Australia.
Naomi, 48, and Liev, 49, announced they were calling time on their 11-year relationship and released a joint statement which said: “Over the past few months we’ve come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple.
“It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship. While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy.”

Who are they? Johnny Depp and Amber Heard

How did they meet and when did they marry? The actors met on the set of The Rum Diaries movie in 2102, the same year he and his long-term partner Vanessa Paradis announced they had split after 14 years together. Depp and Heard married in February 2015 at their Los Angeles home. They didn’t have children together.
How much are they worth? Depp is worth an estimated £320 million while she is believed to be worth just £7 million in comparison.
Amber, 30, filed for divorce from Depp, 53, in May after a ferocious bust-up with the actor at their home in California and five days later she obtained a temporary restraining order against him after she claimed that he was “verbally and physically abusive to me”. She gave a statement to the LAPD and images of her alleged injuries were printed in the press. Amber reportedly demanded a £23 million settlement from Depp but then withdrew her request for spousal support and was awarded £5 million when the divorce was settled in August, all of which she gave away to charity, splitting it between a children’s hospital and an organisation which helps victims of domestic abuse.

Who are they? Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger

How did they meet and when did they marry? The actors met in 2006 after being introduced by a mutual friend. Diane had just been divorced from French actor Guillaume Canet after a five-year marriage.
How much are they worth? Diane is believed to be worth £19 million while he has an estimated fortune of £15 million.
Diane, 40, and 38-year-old Joshua announced they had called time on their relationship and a rep for the pair said: “Diane Kruger and Josh Jackson have decided to separate and remain friends”. The pair never married and didn’t have any children and are financially independent. But they own properties in Vancouver, Paris and New York and recently sold their place in Los Angeles.
Who are they? Drew Barrymore and Will Kopelman

How did they meet and when did they marry? The actress and the art consultant started dating in 2011 having been friends for a few years. They announced their engagement in January 2012 and were married that June.
How much are they worth? Drew is worth an estimated £101 million while Will is worth just £4 million in comparison.
Drew, 41, announced this month that she had filed for divorce from Will, and it was finalised just three weeks later. It was uncontested which meant there was no dispute over custody of their daughters – Olive, four, and two-year-old Frankie – or division of their assets and sources close to the couple said they had a prenup which will make any financial settlements easier.
They also own two homes -a four-bedroom, two-story apartment in New York and a home in Los Angeles.

Who are they? James McAvoy and Anne-Marie Duff

How did they meet and when did they marry? The British actors met on the set of the Channel 4 sitcom Shameless in 2003, on which they played lovers and which turned them both into household names. They married in a very low-key ceremony in 2006.
How much are they worth? James’s career has taken him to Hollywood which has earned him an estimated wealth of £13.8 million while she is believed to be worth £9 million.
Anne-Marie, 46, and James, 37, announced they were divorcing after nearly 10 years of marriage during the promotional tour for his film, X-Men: Apocalypse.
In a statement, the couple, who have a five-year-old son called Brendan, said: “It is with tremendous sadness that we have come to the decision to divorce.
“We enter this next phase with continued friendship, love and respect for one another and the shared focus of caring for our son. We ask that you respect our and, most importantly, our child’s privacy during this time.”
