Welcome to Hypixel SkyBlock Patch 0.20.4. Today’s update features a small patch with a Bazaar Scam Prevention feature, some clarifications and fixes for Better Mayors content, and a lot of bug fixes. Enjoy!

► Bazaar Overbidding Prevention​

We’ve noticed that materials and products in the Bazaar have often been bought out and set to ludicrously high prices by unscrupulous actors hoping that someone would accidentally buy those overpriced items one way or another. We’re introducing some restrictions to limit the damage that can be done and hopefully help tackle this issue.

• A confirmation popup will now appear if you’re attempting to purchase an item that’s over 2x of the item’s average price over the last 7 days.
  • If you choose to confirm your purchase, this popup will not appear for the next 5 minutes.

• Similarly, a confirmation popup will now appear if you’re attempting to insta-sell an item for less than half of the item’s average price over the last 7 days.
  • If you choose to confirm your sale, this popup will also not appear for the next 5 minutes.
  • This confirmation popup will not appear if you are insta-selling multiple items at once, either through selling all items in a sack or sell all items in your inventory/sacks.
• To prevent players from setting sell orders for ridiculously high amounts, your sell offer value now has a cap of 10x the item’s average price over the last 7 days.
• You can check an item’s average price over the last 7 days by hovering on an item with Advanced Mode active.

We hope these changes help prevent players from getting scammed and makes using the Bazaar a more pleasant experience.

► Better Mayors Changes and Fixes​

Known Issues​

• Hidden Elections were disabled for the current Election due to an issue in our backend system. The upcoming Election will feature hidden votes.
• There’s currently an issue where the Minister can appear in the next Election despite them supposedly taking a break before campaigning again. This will be fixed in the near future.

• You can now interact with Richard when Diaz is not in office.
• Mineral Armor no longer breaks too many blocks.
• Shen’s Auction items can no longer be claimed by talking to Richard.
• Fixed a visual bug where Midas Staff items would display an incorrect Price Paid value.
• Fixed build issues with the Community Center.
• Fixed typos in the Exp Share menu.
• Fixed typos in Diaz's Volume Trading description.

• Ender Bow now properly indicates the maximum amount of damage it does.
• Kat Flowers can now stack in your inventory.
• Pesthunter Ring, Badge and Artifact now send a message when enabled/disabled.
• Sorted the Fear Mongerer's shop to be a little bit less clinically insane.
• Updated the skins of the Mender Helmet line of helmets.

Pet Changes​

• Added indications to the Golden Dragon's perk Dragon Greed as to what caps it has.
• Clarified that upgrading the Wisp Pet resets its level in the upgrade stone's lore.
• Pet Candy and Pet Items can now be applied to pets that are always visible, regardless of visibility setting.
• Updated the lore of Pet Candy and Pet Items to better indicate how they work.

Misc. Changes​

• Enchanted Seeds now appear in the Recipe Book.
• Gemstones now increment the Compact enchantment counter, but have no special drop when it triggers.
• Mineshaft owners would sometimes get messages from other player's HOTM perks, now it will message each player individually based on what perks they got.
• The Photon Pathway skip on the Rift will automatically be unlocked now after you talk to Deer.
• Trophy Fish progress on SkyBlock XP tasks now properly grants progress if you've fished a tier above the one listed in the task.

• Fixed being able to place torches with the Infinitorch for free.
• Fixed Cacao Truffles effect lasting longer than intended.
• Fixed Fallen Star Helmet not showing up in Rusty's Shop after meeting the requirements.
• Fixed Flaming Sword being overvalued in the Museum.
• Fixed Infernal and Fiery Kuudra Keys not showing Co-op Soulbound despite being co-op soulbound.
• Fixed Scarleton Premium not having any item description.
• Fixed Spirit Shortbow's passive dealing more damage than intended.
• Fixed using a Ditto Blob on a Sack making an item with an error tooltip.

• Fixed being unable to claim the chests in the Jungle Temple when collecting the Amethyst Crystal first.
• Fixed Crystal Hollows structure loot chests not giving essence.
  • Updated the reward message given when claiming these chests, as well as the lockpick chests.
• Fixed Custom Ore Blocks not being able to spawn Jerrys during the Jerry Mayor Event.
• Fixed more Mithril Blocks in the Dwarven Mines not being breakable.
• Fixed players gaining HOTM experience when max level.
• Fixed players with the free Crystal Hollows pass being unable to be party warped into the Crystal Hollows.

Welcome to Hypixel SkyBlock Patch 0.20.4. Today’s update features a small patch with a Bazaar Scam Prevention feature, some clarifications and fixes for Better Mayors content, and a lot of bug fixes. Enjoy!

► Bazaar Overbidding Prevention​

We’ve noticed that materials and products in the Bazaar have often been bought out and set to ludicrously high prices by unscrupulous actors hoping that someone would accidentally buy those overpriced items one way or another. We’re introducing some restrictions to limit the damage that can be done and hopefully help tackle this issue.

• A confirmation popup will now appear if you’re attempting to purchase an item that’s over 2x of the item’s average price over the last 7 days.
  • If you choose to confirm your purchase, this popup will not appear for the next 5 minutes.

• Similarly, a confirmation popup will now appear if you’re attempting to insta-sell an item for less than half of the item’s average price over the last 7 days.
  • If you choose to confirm your sale, this popup will also not appear for the next 5 minutes.
  • This confirmation popup will not appear if you are insta-selling multiple items at once, either through selling all items in a sack or sell all items in your inventory/sacks.
• To prevent players from setting sell orders for ridiculously high amounts, your sell offer value now has a cap of 10x the item’s average price over the last 7 days.
• You can check an item’s average price over the last 7 days by hovering on an item with Advanced Mode active.

We hope these changes help prevent players from getting scammed and makes using the Bazaar a more pleasant experience.

► Better Mayors Changes and Fixes​

Known Issues​

• Hidden Elections were disabled for the current Election due to an issue in our backend system. The upcoming Election will feature hidden votes.
• There’s currently an issue where the Minister can appear in the next Election despite them supposedly taking a break before campaigning again. This will be fixed in the near future.

• You can now interact with Richard when Diaz is not in office.
• Mineral Armor no longer breaks too many blocks.
• Shen’s Auction items can no longer be claimed by talking to Richard.

Pet Changes​

• Added indications to the Golden Dragon's perk Dragon Greed as to what caps it has.
• Clarified that upgrading the Wisp Pet resets its level in the upgrade stone's lore.
• Pet Candy and Pet Items can now be applied to pets that are always visible, regardless of visibility setting.
• Updated the lore of Pet Candy and Pet Items to better indicate how they work.

Misc. Changes​

• Enchanted Seeds now appear in the Recipe Book.
• Gemstones now increment the Compact enchantment counter, but have no special drop when it triggers.
• Mineshaft owners would sometimes get messages from other player's HOTM perks, now it will message each player individually based on what perks they got.
• The Photon Pathway skip on the Rift will automatically be unlocked now after you talk to Deer.
• Trophy Fish progress on SkyBlock XP tasks now properly grants progress if you've fished a tier above the one listed in the task.
