Mississippi Class of 2025 Rankings: Official Release (1)

After a busy summer full of events in the Magnolia State, the Class of 2025 Player Rankings is long overdue for an update as these players have just started their junior year of their high school careers. There were a ton of new names who entered into the fold, as well as a number of others who continue to elevate their game, warranting plenty of movement to the list. Most of the same names are still inside the Top-10 from the last update, but there's some shakeup as we have expanded the list to 100 players.

+Jacob Parker continues to hold on the the top spot in the 2025 class rankings. The big, athletic left handed hitting outfielder had a monster year at the plate for Purvis as they captured the 4A State Championship. Parker, a Mississippi State commit, also contributed heavily on the mound as the RHP got stronger throughout the year and saw his fastball regularly reach the 90 mph mark late in the season. His future looks to be a power bat at the plate but it certainly doesn't hurt to have his arm in the rotation as the Tornadoes will look to repeat in 2024.

+ Lewisburg’s LHP Talon Haley picked up steam throughout the season and into the summer and makes the jump to #2. The Vanderbilt commit was a major contributor on the mound in the Patriots run to the 6A State title. Haley uses a 3 pitch mix which includes a fastball that works in the 88-93 mph range, a solid change up, and a breaking ball that has tons of knee buckling action and depth.

‘25 LHP Talon Haley (MS) found his groove after the first in a strong showing for @EasleyBaseballC

+Landon Harmon, a 2022 Future Games participant, continues to establish his dominance on the mound and comes in at #3 in the class of 2025 player rankings. The Mississippi State commit helped East Union win the 2A State Championship once again and will use his low 90’s fastball this coming spring in hopes of leading the Urchins to an impressive 3rd straight championship.

Landon Harmon (2025) of East Union using his lean 6-5 frame to generate leverage was up to 91 mph today with run. The Mississippi State commit also showed tight downward action to his breaking ball. @landonharmon51 @EastUnionAC @HailStateBB @ShooterHunt #NPI23 pic.twitter.com/W63z0G7VkZ

+ Purvis SS/RHP Joseph Parker comes in at #4, though could arguably be in the top spot after his incredible high school season which included a .487 batting average and 15 homeruns. Like his twin Jacob, “Jo Jo” can get it done on the mound as well with an upper 80’s fastball and a solid array of secondary pitches. The Mississippi State commit will be an integral part in the Tornadoes plan to repeat at the 4A level.

Joseph Parker (2025) of Purvis is developing some serious pull side power as the Mississippi State commit drives his 7th and 8th homers over the wall in right. @Parker2Jojo @purvisbaseball @HailStateBB @ShooterHunt pic.twitter.com/pArmo1ef2i

+ Oak Grove's Maddox Miller stays at #5 after a very stingy season on the mound for the Warriors. The Mississippi State commit went 5-0 with an impressive 0.42 ERA and 60 strikeouts. The lean 6-4 lefty works his fastball in the 86-89 mph range though should see a velocity jump with added lower half strength. He has a solid breaking ball, though his change up is what sets him apart as he kills the spin and mimics his fastball arm action very well.

Maddox Miller (2025) of @OGHSBaseball is arriving on the scene quick. The 6-2, 180 pound lefty worked his FB up to 86 mph while using a ++change and developing breaking ball. @MaddoxMiller35 @ShooterHunt #PBRFG22 pic.twitter.com/KqkydudZg9
