The Opportunity:MultiCare Health System is seeking a Psychiatrist specializing in Geriatric Psychiatry for a growing psychiatric inpatient service located at Auburn Medical Center. This division consists of a 38-bed inpatient geropsych facility and an additional 20-bed unit dedicated to adult psychiatric voluntary and involuntary admissions. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop a growing inpatient psychiatric program and to unite with the largest behavioral health organization in the South Puget Sound region.
Requirements:
One (1) plus years of experience providing mental health services to the geriatric population
MD degree with Board eligibility in psychiatry
Completion of an APA-approved residency in psychiatry
DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
Current, thorough, familiarity with psychotropic medications, their prescribing, administration, and appropriate monitoring, including the assessment and management of potential side effects
