Peter Parker and Miles Morales may not have been born in the same universe, but these two Spider-Men bridged the Multiverse to become Marvel's most spectacular duo. Once Miles relocated to the main Marvel Universe, Peter found a partner he could trust to use his great power with the utmost responsibility. From working with countless other arachnid heroes across the Spider-Verse to swinging over the streets of New York, Peter and Miles have forged as amazing bond that proves they are both worthy of the Spider-Man mantle.

Now, let's take a closer look at some of Peter Parker and Miles Morales' most memorable team-ups, just as they swing into their next adventure together in THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MEN (2024) #1 by Greg Weisman, Humberto Ramos, Victor Olazaba, Edgar Delgado, and VC's Joe Caramagna.

SPIDER-MEN

Peter Parker and Miles Morales met for the first time in SPIDER-MEN (2012) #1 by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli. While fighting Mysterio, Peter fell through a portal that dropped him into the Ultimate Universe, Miles' home dimension. When Miles approached him, a confused Peter attacked, and the Spider-Men fought each other.

After Miles took him to S.H.I.E.L.D., Peter began exploring the world where he died as a teenage hero. Peter met the Ultimate Universe's Aunt May and Gwen Stacy, and Miles got to know Peter, which was especially impactful since his world's Parker died before they could meet.

The Spider-Men teamed up to defeat the Marvel Universe's Mysterio, who had been operating through avatars in the Ultimate Universe. After defeating his old foe, Peter gave Miles his blessing to operate as Spider-Man (along with a few pointers) before returning to his home on Earth-616.

SPIDER-VERSE

When the vampiric Inheritors started hunting down Spider-Heroes across the Multiverse, Earth-616's Peter and Earth-1610's Miles found themselves working together again in the original SPIDER-VERSE epic that started in AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (2014) #10 by Dan Slott and Olivier Coipel. While Peter was initially surprised to see Miles, he trusted him with an important task that helped turn the tide of the Multiversal battle.

After Peter took command of the assembled Spider-Heroes, he asked Miles to recruit other arachnid heroes from around the Multiverse, which he did starting in SPIDER-VERSE TEAM-UP (2014) #2 by Christos Gage and Dave Williams. Miles put together a group that included a cowboy Spider-Man and a sentient version of the Spider-Mobile named Peter Parkedcar, then brought his team of Web Warriors to help Earth-616's Peter in the final battle against the Inheritors.

SECRET WARS

When the alternate realities of the Multiverse collapsed in on each other, Miles and Peter both ended up on vessels that could withstand the end of existence. Doctor Doom used his immense power to forge the remnants of the Multiverse into Battleworld, where Peter and Miles reunited in SECRET WARS (2015) #3 by Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribić.

After convincing the heroes of a realm much like the Ultimate Universe to rebel against Doom, Miles joined Peter and snuck into Doom's castle. The Spider-Men found the reality-warping Molecule Man, who was critical to Doom's rule. Miles offered him an old hamburger; the hungry Molecule Man thanked him and said he owed him. When Molecule Man helped Mister Fantastic defeat Doom and start rebuilding the Multiverse, he repaid Miles by giving him and his family a new home in the main Marvel Universe.

MILES MORALES JOINS THE MARVEL UNIVERSE

As Miles and his family established themselves as part of Earth-616, the Spider-Men began working more closely together. Even though Peter was primarily focused on international threats and running Parker Industries, he continued to mentor Miles and gave him numerous tips about being a hero. At this time, Miles also started working alongside Ms. Marvel and Nova (Sam Alexander) on the Avengers.

After Miles and the Avengers stopped a destructive attack by the demon Blackheart, Peter surveyed the damage and spoke to Miles in SPIDER-MAN (2016) #2 by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli. Peter started having doubts about Miles, so the younger Spider-Man stayed at the scene and knocked out Blackheart. But when a police officer confronted Miles, Peter vouched for him and reaffirmed his blessing to operate as Spider-Man.

SPIDER-MEN II

At the end of the original SPIDER-MEN, Peter tried to see if Miles had a counterpart on Earth-616 but found nothing in his search, much to Miles' dismay. However, Earth-616's Miles Morales found the heroes in SPIDER-MEN II (2017) #1 by Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli. Unlike his young web-slinging Ultimate Universe counterpart, Earth-616's Morales was a criminal and a friend to Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin.

After leaving his life of crime for love, this Morales hired Taskmaster to find an alternate reality where his late wife was still alive. Miles heard Taskmaster mention his name to his criminal counterpart, so he and Peter began investigating the situation. When Earth-616's Morales found a version of his wife in the Ultimate Universe, the young Miles decided to embrace his life in the main Marvel Universe on his own terms.

GENERATIONS: MILES MORALES AND PETER PARKER

When Miles started having doubts about his role as Spider-Man, he was sent to the past and spent time with a young Peter during one of the most trying days of his life in GENERATIONS: MILES MORALES SPIDER-MAN AND PETER PARKER SPIDER-MAN (2017) #1 by Brian Michael Bendis and Ramón Pérez. After bumping into a college-age Peter at Empire State University, Miles stopped by his childhood home, where he saw his younger self meet Ganke Lee.

When he found Peter again, the elder Spider-Man was recovering from the events of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (1963) #33 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, where he faced his mortality and lifted a collapsed building to get a sick Aunt May the medicine she needed. As an exhausted Peter explained all of this before drifting off to sleep, Miles understood what the idea of Spider-Man meant to Peter and what an honor it was to share the title with him.

SPIDER-GEDDON

In the original SPIDER-VERSE, Peter Parker took charge of the Multiversal Spider-Army because he was the only Spider-Man who had ever defeated one of the Inheritors. When the Inheritors returned, Miles led the arachnid heroes of the Multiverse in SPIDER-GEDDON.

While Miles and the Spider-Army began taking steps to defend the Multiverse, Peter focused on stopping Morlun on Earth-616. Miles helped Peter and tried to recruit him, but the older Spider-Man told Miles to lead the feuding Spider-Army in his place in PETER PARKER, THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN (2017) #312 by Sean Ryan and Juan Frigeri.

Following that massive vote of confidence, Miles led the Spider-Army and wielded the Enigma Force, the immense cosmic power of Captain Universe. With Peter's support, Miles killed Solus, the Inheritors' leader, in SPIDER-GEDDON (2018) #5 by Christos Gage, Jorge Molina, Carlo Barberi, Stefano Caselli, and Joey Vazquez.

MILES MORALES' CLONE SAGA

Peter Parker endured an identity crisis when his clone, Ben Reilly, walked back into his life and claimed to be the real Peter in THE CLONE SAGA. So, when an A.I. known as Assessor created three clones of Miles, Peter helped Miles out in MILES MORALES: SPIDER-MAN (2018) #25 by Saladin Ahmed and Carmen Carnero.

After the clones started impersonating Miles and committing crimes, Peter and Miles both investigated the situation and briefly fought each other when they crossed paths. Once they understood what was happening, the Spider-Men teamed up to face the three clones: Selim, Shift, and Mindspinner, who used their unique powers to defeat the Spider-Men. Peter helped Miles search for them and spoke with him about not ignoring the responsibilities of his personal life while being Spider-Man.

SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MEN

After teaming up as Spider-Men for years, Peter wanted to start spending more time with Miles outside of their costumes in THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MEN (2024) #1 by Greg Weisman and Humberto Ramos. As Miles considered attending Empire State University, Peter took Miles out for coffee at his alma mater, where they both encountered some old friends.

However, one of their hangouts ended abruptly when they saw a super-strong version of the Jackal on a rampage. The Jackal was originally Miles Warren, one of Peter's professors and the mad scientist who originally created Peter's clones, but this Jackal was bigger and more animal-like than any of the villain's numerous clones. After teaming up to take down the giant-size villain, the Spider-Men must now look into the secrets of one of Peter Parker's most dangerous foes.
